Some great plugins for sure and I wish I had access to some of them, certainly the more unique ones. There's not a lot of UAD plugins these days that don't have equivalent sounding emulations from other developers (be it Slate, Waves, Plugin Alliance etc) so UAD is no longer a requirement as it once used to be viewed as.I haven't used UAD much. There are quite a few plugins now which have the same algorithms on native and the UAD platform. To put it into perspective, if you run the exact same algorithm on a UAD versus a current PC, the UAD might top out at 40 instances where any modern computer could run 1000 with room to spare. With that being said I no longer run UAD as the DSP is just too slow compared to today's native systems. I preferred UAD emulations for some sources, Waves emulations for others, and Slate Digital for others. It really depends on which emulations you prefer. Is there a difference in sound? For sure because the emulations that Waves did versus the UAD ones are modeled on different physical hardware with different modeling techniques. Is there a difference in quality? No, it's just digital algorithms. If you believe your post or comment was removed in error, check the rules and include a link in a polite message to the moderators. Spam & self-promotion (outside of the Marketplace thread, where ads are encouraged) will be removed.Keep it productive, intelligent, intelligible, and constructive. If your thread is vague, unclear, or easily answered by searching ("does anyone else.?" "Any suggestions for.?") it may be removed. If your thread is only tangentially related, it is probably considered off-topic.
